Enhanced RTMP (E-RTMP)
Description
Enhanced RTMP (E-RTMP) is an advancement of the Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) developed by the Veovera Software Organization (VSO) in collaboration with industry stakeholders, including Adobe, YouTube, and Twitch. E-RTMP introduces support for modern audio and video codecs such as AC-3, E-AC-3, Opus, FLAC, VP8, VP9, HEVC, and AV1 with HDR support. It also includes features like multitrack capabilities, adaptive bitrate streaming support, and improved timestamp precision, enhancing RTMP's functionality for real-time and on-demand streaming while maintaining backward compatibility.
